Our Honey Story
Wild Nectar Honey was created to share our passion for beekeeping and the top-quality honey we produce in some of the most pristine environments in the world with consumers, and show them the difference in the taste and benefits of raw, cold extracted honey. Our apiary has been operating for over 25 years, and we are Australia’s largest single honey producer, harvesting over 1000 tonnes of honey each year from our hives. Our beekeepers have decades of experience and are led by our master apiarists who are passionate about beekeeping and honeymaking, and they ensure that every hive is treated with the utmost care.
The flora of Australia’s East Coast provides us with some of the world’s most unique and diverse honey varietals. We take pride in harvesting single-origin Ironbark and Orange Blossom honey, following the seasons as these trees bloom, each of which offers a distinct taste profile rich in the flavors of native Australian plants. Our bees forage in pristine environments, including National Parks and Wildlife Reserves, where they collect nectar from untouched native flora, mostly eucalypt varietals. The result is honey that not only tastes incredible but also embodies the natural beauty of Australia.
Central to everything we do is the health and wellbeing of our bees. Our queen-bee breeding program is designed to cultivate strong and genetically diverse colonies, keeping our hives healthy and thriving. We are Certified Organic and making organic honey we follow strict guidelines and processes to ensure our honey is free from any residues of cultivated environments, and as natural as possible.
What sets Wild Nectar apart is that as beekeepers and producers, we can trace the exact origin of each jar of honey, guaranteeing the highest standards of quality and purity. From hive to jar, every step is managed with precision and care. This transparency and dedication to excellence are what drive us and is hugely important to us as we sell our honey with pride, and knowledge of the hard work and skill required to produce every jar.
Our mission is to educate people on the importance of high-quality honey. Not all honey is created equal, and we want consumers to understand how the unique floral sources, beekeeping practices and never heat treating or pasteurising our honey impact both taste and health benefits. We’re excited to bring a taste of Australia’s wild landscapes to homes across the world, sharing our passion for pure, unprocessed honey that is as authentic as the day it was harvested. Join us on this journey and experience the difference that Wild Nectar Honey can make.
